About Us
Family Legacy
Stonemasonry is the craft of shaping rough pieces of rock into accurate geometric shapes, some of considerable complexity, and arranging these stone forms, often with mortar, to form structures that are beautiful to look at. When done carefully, these formations are breathtaking in appearance and everlasting in design. It takes an artist to visualize the beauty that results from this meticulous work and a craftsman to make the artistic vision a reality. The Sinopoli family’s roots can be traced to Italy, a land renowned for its skilled stonemasons. John Sinopoli, the family patriarch, apprenticed as a young man in his homeland and emigrated to the United States where he taught his two sons, Anthony and Vincent, the family trade and instilled in them his insistence for perfection. Today, based in Oxford, Connecticut, Vince Sinopoli continues the family tradition of artistic vision and beautiful craftsmanship in every construction project his firm undertakes. Vince is assuring this eye for quality will endure by training his sons, John and Vinny, to bring the family vision of excellence to fruition for future generations.
In The Community
Sinopoli Contractors believes in being a good corporate citizen and we encourage our employees to support the communities in which we live and work. Our company participates in community parades, career presentations at area schools and we lend our skills, talents and resources to local organizations such as schools, libraries and churches that need assistance. We thank our customers and our communities for serving us well and we are glad to be able to help in return.
Building for the Future
Sinopoli Contractors is appreciative of the beauty of the area in which we live and work and we want to help sustain this beauty for future generations. Our many sustainable efforts include collecting and conserving water, reusing oil from our equipment for heat generation in our corporate offices, incorporating native materials into our landscapes, resculpting excavated land to complement surrounding ecosystems and incorporating sustainable materials into our construction and landscaping designs. We follow LEED guidelines that provide a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions which can preserve the environment and qualify your project for tax rebates. We believe we all need to make a difference.
